Commentary for I Samuel 14:25

וְכָל־הָאָ֖רֶץ בָּ֣אוּ בַיָּ֑עַר וַיְהִ֥י דְבַ֖שׁ עַל־פְּנֵ֥י הַשָּׂדֶֽה׃

And all the people came into the forest; and there was honey upon the ground.

There was honey. Cane sugar grows in Eretz Yisroel.
